Telehealth
What is telehealth?
Telehealth — sometimes called telemedicine — lets your provider care for you without an in-person office visit. Telehealth is done primarily online with internet access on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. At Calvert County Behavioral Health, we utilize Doxy.me and Google Meet, both of which are HIPAA-compliant.
What is HIPAA?
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is a federal law that required the creation of national standards to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient's consent or knowledge.

secure platforms
Your clinician will let you know which platform you will be using for your session.

Doxy.me is a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform.

Google Meet is also HIPAA-compliant and another option for telemedicine.
Your clinician will send you a unique code to access Google Meet.
